Bramon Wine Estate
The Bramon Wine Estate, situated in the heart of the Crags was the first wine farm to pioneer vineyards in the Plettenberg Bay region. Their commitment to quality and innovation has led to the production of exceptional wines. Particularly renowned for their Méthode Cap Classique (MCC) sparkling wines, Bramon has received numerous accolades and high ratings from wine enthusiasts. Their Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Noir are also highly praised. Established in 2000, it’s first wine making year was 2011
The Bramon Wine Estate has a restaurant that takes advantage of the setting to deliver tapas style food in the vineyards overlooking the Tsitsikama Mountains.

Newstead Lund Family Vineyards
Newstead Lund Family Vineyards is close to Plettenberg Bay on the outskirts of Harkerville. The farm boasts a tranquil setting surrounded by indigenous fynbos and forests. This boutique winery is committed to sustainable practices, and their wines reflect the unique terroir of the region. Visitors often rave about their exceptional Chenin Blanc and MCC Brut Rosé, both of which have received favorable ratings from critics.
The first Vintage was released in 2012 and Newstead Lund Family Vineyards have since received many awards and accolades. These include multiple Gran d’Ors at the Michelangelo Awards, a five-star rating by Platter’s Wine Guide, recognition of being among SA’s top 3 at the IWSC and the only bubbly outside of the Cape winelands to have won the Amorim Cap Classique Challenge.

Kay and Monty Vineyards
This family-run estate is located on the sweeping hills of The Crags just 20 minutes or so from Plettenberg Bay. The Farm offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside which is rich in historic fauna and flora. Kay and Monty Vineyards are known for producing a diverse range of wines, with their Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon garnering praise from seasoned sommeliers and casual tasters alike. Their unique blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, in particular, has received top marks.

“Each of our four boutiques wines – a sauvignon blanc, a rosé, a red blend and an MCC – are remarkably easy drinking as well as having been extremely well-received by the industry. The 2023 edition of Platter’s Wine Guide awarded the SAV 2020 and The Chick SMG Red Blend 2021 four stars each, while our Champu 2017 got 4.5 stars – fitting recognition of the vision, hard work and determination of our small team.”

Lodestone Wine & Olives
Nestled between Plettenberg Bay and Knysna, Lodestone Wine & Olives not only produces exceptional wines but also specializes in olive oil production. With a strong focus on organic practices, Lodestone’s Chenin Blanc, Rosé, and Shiraz have all achieved noteworthy ratings. Moreover, visitors are treated to captivating views of the rolling vineyards and olive groves.
The tasting room at Lodestone wine and olives overlooks the lily-covered pond and vineyards with views through to the Tsitsikamma Mountains.
Lodestone has its own cellar which is able to produce both red and white wines as well as sparkling wine made according to the traditional champagne method known locally as MCC.

Bitou Vineyards
Located close to the Bitou River, Bitou Vineyards benefits from a microclimate that facilitates grape cultivation of the highest standard. Their flagship wines include a refreshing Sauvignon Blanc, an elegant Chardonnay, and a robust Cabernet Sauvignon. Wine aficionados have praised the winery for its consistent quality and refined taste, leading to favourable ratings across the board. Formerly the Polo fields that Plettenberg Bay and the Bitou region were well known for, it is steeped in a rich history that will not be lost when the vines produce their bounty.

Packwood Wine Estate
Situated between Plettenberg Bay and Knysna, Packwood Wine Estate is a boutique winery known for its hands-on approach to winemaking. Their dedication to crafting small-batch, high-quality wines shines through in each bottle. Visitors are treated to delightful tastings of their Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot noir, Blanc de noir, Shiraz and bubbly which have garnered favourable ratings in various competitions.
Cheese and wine are two beautiful companions that are brought together at Packwood.

Plettenvale Wine Estate
The first vines at Plettenvale were planted in 2008 and consisted of a combination of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah vines. After the first harvest in 2012 a small batch of 630 bottles of Brut Rose MCC were produced in the Bramon Cellar.
“Our small establishment allows visitors to have a very personal experience in the wine making process. It is family run and all that goes on in the winery and cellar is visible to the visitors during our winery and cellar tour.”
The winery and boutique cellar were built ib 2012 and Plettenvale are proud wine makers in Plettenberg bay to accept wine enthusiasts from around the World.

Picnics at Luka Vineyards
Picnics can be enjoyed on the green space in front of the restaurant. Locally sources baked goods and pastries, platter lunches and picnics offer a unique day out but must be booked in advance. The menu is seasonal and no day will be the same, expect to be surprised.
